Wendy Hartmann
Wendy Hartmann has been writing for many years. She has written television scripts for children’s programmes and has had more than 25 children’s books published. These have been published in South Africa, America, Britain and Japan and have been translated into other languages. Her books have been selected for Honours Lists and nominated for awards for writing and illustration.
Wendy is able to write at many levels. Her books range from concept and counting beginner readers and picture books to High Interest/Low Vocabulary readers. Her latest High/Low Reader Alive and Free is due to be published by Human & Rousseau in 2006. Two picture books are scheduled for 2007.
She lives in Table View, Cape Town, in a house overlooking the famous Table Mountain.
